So far I have been pretty healthy on the island. A slight cold, couple of cuts and bruises and a possible case of dengue fever. I never received a confirmed diagnosis of dengue but Dr. Nate said my symptoms fit the bill. Having already had malaria, I just need Ebola to round out the tropical disease trifecta.
Random visitors:
My house is populated with geckos. I haven't been able to get a photo of one yet but they are welcome housemates since their only mission in life is to eat bugs. I also found my first mouse this morning. Having dealt with a lot of mice/rats in my house in Africa, I bolted into action and went Mr. McGregor on the little guy. I also managed to find and plug the mousey entrance [hole in the wall where a water pipe used to come in.]
