Getting sloshed for a good cause

Two of the palagi association's favorite teachers, Katie and Kara, are leaving the island. Katie for good and Kara, incredibly, is renewing her contract and will be back in August. In their honor, we held a sloshball game in Lions Park. Above, the park, pre-game and post-rain.

Kara, who is coming back to continue to serve the territory in August.

Katie, who is gone for good.

Some of the players waiting for the game to start. Unfortunately, I have no action shots of the game since I was playing but, in short, my team lost by 18 points.

So here are some post-game people pictures. Yes, there are real ex-pat families down here, below is Helen, bummed about her picture being taken, and mom, Melissa.

The island is nice.

Here are some really nice photos of American Samoa that I did not take.

Return to Ofu

This past weekend, a small group of us returned to the small island of Ofu for the long weekend. Below is new Sarah, new Lisa, Chase, and Gnugnu relaxing in the ocean.

Moi, the fourth

A few months back our friend Moi had a baby boy, Faamomoi Masaniai IV (above). We were invited to see the little (big) man at Moi's house and have some of Moi's world famous lasagna.

Brief intermission

I have been bad about posting new photos recently. New posts are coming but in the meantime here is a ridiculous cat video.
